Autographs Craft?

I've heard of a few autograph ideas instead of a book, but am having trouble finding pics of people actually doing them! Any unique autograph ideas/pictures out there to take place of a traditional book?

I'm thinking of doing a white tote bag that I'll paint something Disney on, then of course let them sign it.

I have done a pillow case (similar to a tote bag) with my grandaughter.
We used fabric markers and a small clip board, as you need something hard for the characters to sign on.
I just bought a plain white pillowcase and a friend of mine embroidered her name at the top of the pillowcase.
The fabric markers were ok for the princess's signatures but hard for many of the other characters to grasp onto.
It did make a very nice keepsake souvenir.
We may try a white baseball cap next time.

Here's the photo frame mat that I had signed when we visited Aulani. (I didn't scan the top 'cause it just said "Aulani 2013" and I was scanning the autographs to go in our Shutterfly photo album.) In it I put a pic of our family with Minnie at the character breakfast.

We have been many times. Favorite autographed souvenir is the pillowcases. Ordered custom embroidered with their names and a Mickey logo. Also had the Disney Candyland game autographed--much easier to carry around if you are pushing a stroller! Disney Jr Encyclopedia of Animated Characters is cute, along with a couple other story books. We also have a picture mat that looks great (make sure it is wide), but can be hard to carry around. Easiest to carry was actually a light colored backpack. Used it as our bag in the parks, and only extra we had to carry was the fabric markers!

Can you drop off an item at guest services (like on the Disney Cruises) to be signed? Or do you take the items with you to each meet and greet?

I really want to do a special autograph photo mat for my boys when we go to the Ohana breakfast. I think the tote bag with some colorful sharpie markers would be great for older kids or adults.
