I was wondering, we went to DW last Dec with our preschoolers. We will be going back again in Dec and they will be close to 5 and 4, (wow that sounds scary!! They are getting too old!) and I think they might enjoy the autograph collection. So where in Canada can you get autograph books? HOw much are they down there? I've checked ebay and they are crazy expensive (Im cheap!)

I can't express how excited I am to go back to DW WITH my folks!!! OMG OMG ...still 8.5 months away...but STILL!!! YAY!

You should check out the disigns board near the bottom the forum page.
There are some really great people out there who have made up autograph pages for practically every character out there. You can print them yourself and then make up your own books for the kids. There are some great samples on there too.
Also it has been suggested to me that a sharpie that clicks is the best pen to use.
Good luck, have fun planning.

Ah great idea! I will check into that. Thanks!

Any idea how much they cost in DW? Just out of curiosity.

The last time we went to DW, I knew the kids would want to collect Autographs. Our DollarRama Dollar store stocks lots of Disney items. I purchased Disney kid sized note pads from there for a dollar each for the kids to use as autograph books. It worked wonderfully.
These note pads came in various shapes of the various Disney Characters. One of my kids had a Mickey Pad (Shaped like Mickey's head and Mickey's head/face was actually the Cardboard front of the note pad.
I glanced at the autograph books in DW, and not sure if I'm remembering the price correctly but $9.00 rings a bell with me.

Yuck! $9? I would need 2. That's not happening. lol That is a great idea though! I will have to check out the dollarama, might be goin there today in fact. I will see what they have, I know the coiled ones they have. But I fear my kids would rip out the pages. I would like something that I can add pictures in, or take the page out to put in a frame with their pictures. So I can hang them in their bedrooms. :)

Yay, now Im excited to go to the dollarama. Love that store!! ;)

Dollarama also has Disney photo albums...I had DH cut cardstock in 4x6 pieces for the autographs and we plan to put the picture of us with the character beside the autograph in the book. We use the clickable sharpies, one of those small alligator clips to keep the paper in place while they are signing. Everything fits in a medium ziploc perfectly to keep it all dry while we are there!

Im just about to run out the door, what a brilliant idea!!!! Is it too early to buy for Disney world??? Nawwww.... lol!!
AWesome! Thanks, that is a great idea!!!!!!!

It is never too early to plan or purchase for WDW! I have a basket in my front hall and am constantly adding things to it...:lmao:

I see that you have boys but is your sister into Tink?

We have a new Dollar Giant and I scored lots of Tink items there for DNiece.
All kinds of fun stuff & I think I spent $12. A set of pens, notepads, etc. and a Tink party bag to hold it all.

I bought a small clear magnetic photo frame w/ purple flowers, figure she can have Tink sign it & then we'll put their picture in it.

At the party store I found Tink punch balloons, think they were about $1.50each and a cute Tink banner to hang up over her bed.

Then at Michael's they had two Tink prints (Sassy & Chic brand) and a matted Princess print. The Princess print we'll take to the breakfast in Norway to have everyone sign. These prints were all like $2.49 each.

I like to shop months ahead & it helps w/ the budget.

We always have done the Dollarama route for autograph books. There are a ton of pages in them...more than enough for even very eager autograph seekers, as we were our first trip. Lots of designs usually as well.

Leading up to our first trip, we bought a lot of Disney themed Dollarama items and gave these to the kids (then 9 & 6), one each day for a week before the trip...Disney lip balm, autograph books, stickers, even face cloths. Many of the items they could take on the trip with us. They loved it...we still use the face cloths 5 years later.

Anyone with girls...there are also a ton of Disney hair accessories. Our daughter wanted to do BBB but when I told her she would have to spend her own $ for it...she/we decided that it would be better if Mommy did her hair with Dollarama hair accessories, sometimes a tiara, and glitter every day. We even let her do a little lip gloss, etc. She liked her hair better than those hairdos she saw from BBB and it was a fraction of the price.

Hope you have lots of luck at Dollarama! Enjoy!:wizard:

Hi guys, thanks for all your advice! I didn't see any autograph books as pp mentioned. Where would they be located?

I did get the photo albums to put inserts in with pictures. that is a really neat idea!! :)

Our dd really wants to do BBB, she is 3, almost 4 when she goes and I think we will do it. It's crazy expensive for someone as cheap as me. lol But my Mom will be there and she will be in tears...I know she will. Neither my sister nor I were very girlie. We were tomboys through and through. HOwever, my little girl is a total princess! lol :)

call me frugal, but I was not paying that much for BBB for my DD, princess or not, lol. Instead we took her to the Barber Shop on Main Street, and let me tell you, she loved it. She did not want to wash her hair after:lmao: Quite a few commented on it and not many knew something like this even existed (here's when you say THANK YOU Dis). Well worth the 15 bucks.

Oh? I didnt even know that the barber shop did girls' hair. What did they do?

Yes, I totally understand, any other vacation and I would be super frugal as well. But this one vacation my parents are going and we are starting to save now so we can do the dlx trip we all have dreamed of. Im arranging everthing from limo to dlx dp and adr to cruises. Next visit down will be Pop century on a dime, which I enjoy as well, but just this once we want to do this for the family. :)
