Does anyone know how much an autograph book costs at WDW?

Are they all basically the same with a different cover (princess, Mickey, etc.)?

I am assuming there are some available at the resorts and parks, but if there is a more economical way of getting a book for autographs that would be great. I looked around at different stores and really haven't found any.

Any other suggestions for getting autographs would be appreciated.
TIA

I am planning on jsut getting a small notebook and decoratign it with Disney scrapbook paper and stickers.

I know i'm a teen but me and my little brother get blank pillowcases before we go and then get the characters to sign it..... It's great!:goodvibes We always have a little piece of Disney with us wherever we go!:thumbsup2
Hope it helps!

That is a great idea. What type of pen do you use with the pillowcase? Do you have any problems with the names washing out or anything? My boys will love this. What a great way to make the magic last. Thank you.

we no longer do autographs, with 4 kids thats just too much standing around.

but when we did i preferred to buy them there. one year we brought our own. never thought about the size of it. didnt seem too big at home, it was actually on the small size as far as notebooks go. but really carrying them became cumbersome. the ones they sell there are small, thin and very easy to carry around. they are about $12 for a regular one, not too bad.

then one year we did tshirts. that ended badly. the characters really need a solid surface to write on. so i brought a cross stitch circle thing. too much work! getting them in and out, moving them around.

so now like i said, no more autographs.

if you have time, go up to a few without the autograph books. its a different experience. without them the characters dont have something to keep them occupied, so they are forced to interact a bit more, instead of the sign...picture...out that they usually do.

Couldn't find an autograph book anywhere around my hometown, no wonder since we aren't overrun with celebrities!!! My alternate idea is a Mickey Photo Album (holds 32 photos) that I found in the dollarstore that DH is cutting paper to insert into it. This way it can either stay as is or I can remove them and use them in our scrapbook. The album doesn't say photo, just "Mickey" with a photo of the mouse on the front. It is an inexpensive solution - feel free to adopt it!

Save yourelf some $$ and pick up some cute Disney notebooks/journal books from a stationery store. Or pick up a plain journal and decorate it with Disney stickers. Decorating your own book gets you in the disney mood - and the characters love to see something a little out of the ordinary.

I made my own book the first time I collected autographs - with pictures of each character on the page for them to sign and they LOVED it - I got such great interaction. Especially from Flik - I'd put a picture of Hopper on his page too and he was acting all scared and cowering from him :)

I think this is a great idea, too! I have fabric markers I could have them use. All in different colors. :thumbsup2

we went 2 yrs ago and used a small disney notebook (index card size) I found at the dollar store. I put that and a mickey fat pen in a ziploc bag in the top part of stroller. was always there when needed.

this year I found a small kids scrapbook with the thick pages for about $3/ea and a retractable sharpie (in pink and purple) for $3.88 @ walmart. Since the scrapbook is about 8 inches square I am gonna put into a gallon size ziplock bag.

i had a friend make DD one with stickers & markers..the characters LOVED it...the each had their own page to sign with a sticker of them & their name either written in marker or with stickers & the book had large rings so she tied bright ribbons to it!!!
then we got a REALLY long feathery crown pen from libby lu!!
it was a HIT with the characters
i will definitely be making my own this trip!!!

I got a great one off of Ebay. It is personalized and includes the pen and photo adhesives for adding your photos once you get home. They were $18. I thought they were a little expensive, but I think you pay 12-16 in the giftshops anyway and the one's I got were great.

Check Ebay, I have seen some great ones! A lot of handmade ones! I am trying to decide on this as well.:thumbsup2

They have a $10 store @ Downtown Disney, and they had them for about $9 or $10. Huge deal seeing as most other places were a good bit more expensive for the same book.

Last year we bought a small red scrapbook at Michaels for about $3.95 and added Disney stickers (also from Michaels--$1.99) to the cover--they actually had a set that was apparently made for autograph books. Using a retractable Sharpie, we had the characters sign the plastic page cover (sleeve) and then we put the picture of that character and our daughter in where the scrapbook page would typically go (we left the white page as background so we could use both sides of the sleeve). It worked great! You do have to take a minute to let the autograph dry on the plastic, but we had very little problems with it smearing.
