autograph pen?

Hmm I think I messed up!! I bought my children fat "sharpies" and I just read elsewhere this is not what the characters like to sign with. I was just thinking a "fat" writing tool... Has anyone used a sharpie before? Do I need to go buy something different, like a big fat pen?

Well, at all the parks there are fat ballpoint pens that are specifically for this. Obviously, not everyone has one, but it does make the process easier for you (finding the pen in a hurry!) and for the character (holding). The only thing about the Sharpie is that it would probably bleed through.....

I still keep our fat pen in the car! Easy to find in a jiffy!! I think they're about $3.

I think the problem with Sharpie's is that they are permanent & washable is preferable. We brought a Sharpie for the non human characters & no one had a problem with it. Next time I will just use a regular Crayola washable marker.

We had the same question. I really wanted my autographs to be in color or at least not be in ball point. I settled on my husbands Dr. Grip Gel Pen with blue ink. It was fat and the characters could grip it. The autographs also turned out well.

I have a Dr. Grip ballpoint that I love, but I wasn't sure HOW fat we were going to need! Thanks for the input - this is our first ever Disney trip and I want DS to be absolutely enchanted. Having a crummy pen is not an option!

we used sharpies and did not have any problems at all... i bought a multi-color pack and different days we used different colors, occasionally trying to match them to the character! LOL!
