This is my first time making autograph books. For those of you that made your own,did you use cardstock for the pages (That's what I was planning on using.),and did you laminate the pages or just the cover?
I have done tags for autograph books and used cardstock. I did not laminate any part of it..
I have also done the book using cardstock and just keep the pages free and not laminated in a ziploc baggie when we were at the park.
I came home and put them into a hard covered scrapbook.
Good luck with whatever decision you make.
One suggest use the sharpies that are regular size not the mini size.. I have seen many of the characters with the big gloves struggle with those mini ones... They sharpies w/ the click tops are the best for them.. Also there are a few characters that have stamps they use... I know Woody was one of them..
The stamps are what I am worried about. I know laminating will keep the pages better and that the sharpie will write fine over it, not sure about the stamps:/
Chipboard covers with card stock pages (Mickey head shaped) on a binder ring. They actually held up very well for the kids (ages 13, 10, 8) and the characters loved it!
Last year I did a little 5x7 book again chip board covers and card stock pages. It was a smash ate book. The characters LOVED it and they all went through the entire book to find a page they liked. It held up well- I carried it in a zip lock Baggie.
I wouldn't laminate the pages... Just have fun with it or do what my bestie does and buy the premade Disney ones.
