Should I buy an autograph book for each of my 4 kids or will one be enough?

I just have 2 kids and although it is a pain to carry books for each kid, I think one would feel left out not having a book to get signed. Perhaps your kids don't have those personalities but I know my girls would end up fighting over who got to get the autograph. I personally would recommend books for each kid.

If it's the cost you're worried about, and if you have the time, you could always make books for the kids.

I went to Michael's craft store and bought a pack of cardstock paper, which was only a few dollars for 50 sheets I think. I was able to find Disney clipart online, and so I made a personalized cover for my DD8, and I even did a top border on all the pages for the inside with mickey head silhouettes. Then I took it all to the local printers and maybe spent 3 or 4 dollars to have it bound and the cover laminated. That also included a hard back cover so it's not so flimsy.

Just an idea, if you have the time and motivation. ;) I felt it was worth it, because now DD has something personal, with her name on the cover, and it's unique too. It won't be the same as every other kid's book in the park, ya know? :thumbsup2

Thanks Guys!

I will be buying 4. I just wasn't sure if it was a necessity, but I guess so! I will probably make one in to a scrapbook and the other three can have park ones. Or maybe I will be adventuresome and make 4 scrapbooks.

I also made my own. I actually printed character-specific pages using images that were posted on the creativs DISigns thread. I printed two per page, cut the pages in half and had it bound. So, my book is 5.5" tall and 8.5" wide, with the binding on the left side. It costs less than $5 to get it bound at an office supply store. I would recommend spiral binding because the type I used... the pages fell out every time the character flipped the book completely open.

You could just use colored cardstock and not even do any printing. Make a custom cover, and there ya go! Then, you take a picture with each character and adhere it to the page that's facing the autograph. Instant souvineer for cheap.

How about One book total, and you photo copy the signatures for each? More interaction time, rather than just walking up to the characters, having them sign four books in a row, and then snapping a picture. Just rotate who gets to hand off the book at each stop.

I don't have any kids but I think it would be better if each kid had one. They have some where you can put a picture next to the autograph and I think it would be something cool for the kids to look back at when they are older. As PPs have mentioned, you can make your own as well but I recommend one for each kid :goodvibes

I'd recommend one for each too. DD was 5 1/2 and son 2 1/2 when we went . We thought he wouldn't care but he was right in there too getting autographs and pictures.

I am in the process of making 4 books for our trip next month. I have designed these myself and plan to just carry blank 3x5 index cards with us to the park. This way we can get as many signatures as we want and not run out of space. I can always add more pages to the books when we get home. And if I pack adhesive, the kids can add the cards to their books at night for something to do.

i will be posting a thread regarding autograph books because it's important that everyone reads it. i'll come back and post the link here!

if you are making your own book, i'd suggest getting the thickest back you can find, if you are going to bring the book pre-made. otherwise, carry around something hard for the characters to write on under the cardstock.

also, if bringing something homemade, make sure to have reinforced binding because like wannagoback says, characters can accidentally tear pages.

this is fun. maybe i'll make a book, too!
