Autograph books

Can you buy these at Disneyland or is it best to get one before you go?

I've purchased autograph books both ways. In the park, they are pricey and you just might run into a character before you have time to get said autograph book. However, if you must have the Disneyland logo on the autograph book, then I'd suggest buying it there.

For my next trip, I'm getting ds (3.5 years old) a really cute personalized autograph book/bag/pen set done in a Pluto theme from someone off Ebay. It should arrive in a few days so I'm excited to see it.

Since we don't care about the Logo being on the book I just purchased the cutest little (about 3x4):cool1 spiral notebooks with Tinkerbell and the Princesses on the cover. These were bought for the whopping price of fifty cents at Michaels.

We normally just get the girls cute little Disney themed books for autographs. One year I found the neatest little scrap book in the dollar spot at Target, it said 2007 on it and they used that for autographs. We don't usually buy the ones in the parks, they are just too much $$ for us.

I think that the autograph books at DLR are big and bulky. We buy them from Laughing Place. http://www.laughingplacestore.com/Category-RC-520.asp
A few have the WDW name on them, so watch carefully. Most of them do not. The smaller ones on this page are easy to fit in a fanny pack or bagg pocket. What's really nice is that the pages have a light design on them.

Would you mind if I asked you where you went on Ebay to get the book && pen set made?! We are going at the end of March for my son's 3rd birthday && that sounds like a really cute idea =]

I made one for my DD during our first trip a few years ago. Instead of dragging the album around I carried 7x7 white cardstock in a ziplock w/ a Sharpie and just pulled it out as I needed it when we met characters. Then I added the autographs w/ the pics to a 7x7 scrapbook when we got home. It turned out really cute.

That happened to us, the second we walked into the park there was Donald and one of us ran to buy an autograph book and didn't make it back in time for the autograph..We saw Donald later in the trip again, but still it was a pain..

I saw a family when we were there that the Mom made a scrapbook autograph album for each of her kids, they were gorgeous!! So that is my plan for our October trip!

I bet the scrapbook idea is really cute!! I love scrapbooking!!
Now that I'm thinking about it, my old autograph book from when I was 10 is at my momma's. Maybe I should dig it out today =]
That had to be from 1995 When I find it I will take pictures and post them on here. It would be interesting to see who's autograph's are in them.

I always make mine as gifts for the kids. They are personalized as well. Its also easy to make a matching pen!

We went to Downtown Disney the evening of our arrival and bought Autograph books at the Disney store. I liked the fact that there was a space for a photo next to each autograph page.
Oh, on that note, I wish I had thought to take all my pictures horizontally, not vertically. They would have all looked nicer in the book!

You can buy books at the parks but I think its more fun to make my own at home. I find that with personalised pages - either using online clip art or stickers - you get more interaction from the characters. It also gives you something fun to do while you wait for your trip to come around!

I buy a Caslon Artists Pad at the art store before going - they have 150 pages. After we are done, we pull out the extra pages and have a great album! My DD got 45 autographs during our 2007 trip - so, w/an autograph on one side and a photo on another - the standard books are not even nearly big enough.

Earlier in this thread Mom2ian gave me a link to a lady on Ebay who makes//sells Autograph Bags/Books/Pens. I ordered it on the 29th and recieved it today. It is a Mickey Pirates of the Caribbean Auto book and she personalized it with my son's name in the Disney lettering. It came with a hand made Pirates tote bag that carries the Book && Pen. It is BY FAR the cutest thing ever!! I will have to post a picture here in a little bit once I take one.
