Autograph books - what age?

My DD was 2 our last trip to WDW and she had an autograph book and loved it! We then went on a disney cruise a few months later and she took the book again and had a blast getting the characters to sign it.

We did it in March with our 4 year old and 2 year old. It was fun seeing how many we could collect, but honestly, they really haven't looked at it since we've been home. I think if you add photos to the autographs, it would be much more fun to look at.

I was thinking that next time, I'd have the kids draw one picture of a Disney character in a scrapbook each day leading up to the trip. It might be fun to have the characters sign their drawings. Then it would give them a fun way to display their artwork and it will give me a great little keepsake of their childhood art and a great trip as well!

The first time my DD used an autograph book was when she was 5. She loved it. She had a great time collecting autographs in all the parks. She did another book on our last trip. I asked her if she wants to get another autograph book for this trip, she'll be 7 this time. She told me of course she does. So we'll be collecting them again in 9 days.

DD has been doing autograph books since she was 3. She would have never let us skip it as she loves the character meals and has always known they come around to sign and get a picture with you. My nieces have also loved them and the younger one had her first book before she was 2. She did have her older sister and cousin and of course HAD to be like them

My son has had one every year since he was two. He loves it.

In the beginning, it really helped make it easier to walk up to the Characters. Now I think he just find it fun to see how many different one he can get.
