I am new to this forum and was wondering if anyone could please help me out with this...we are taking 2 of our Daughters to Disney in May, and our two 3 year olds in September.
I heard something about making a personalized autograph book and passport to the world...I was wondering if anyone could help me out, by designing a cover for me and pointing me into the direction of the pages that I should add to these books. It is all of their 1st trip to WDW.

My daughters:
Charlotte age 5 years; Belle
Daphanie age 4 years; Cinderella
Madilynn age 3 years; Aurora

they are all into the princesses collectively too!

My son:
Gideon age 3 years; Incredibles (I guess) :)

Thank you so much for any and all help with this project, and suggestions for it!!

WE purchased little Disney notebooks from the $ store (princess, tink, and cars for my nephew). Glued in pictures printed on regular paper on the alternate page to the sig. when we got home. Kids added stickers and stuff. While we were at Disney our diaper bag with the books went....let's call it missing rather than stolen....while we were frustrated, we had no real $ invested in the books and at the time they time they were only signatures. Fortunately, after 3 days floating through the lost and found system it did actually turn up. A few items were missing, but the autograph books were there! I'll pick up new notebooks for our next trip. We can watch the kids grow in their books!

I was originally going to buy a small spiral bound book and glue a personalized cover on it, then cover with contact paper. Then while shopping at a dollar store, I found something even better. A super-simple 4x6 photograph brag book, including slots to remove/replace the covers. It holds 36 "photos" so I plan to insert up to 18 autograph cards and 18 photos. I got a personalized cover made, and I used card designs from the following sites and just printed on plain (unlined) 4x6 index cards (also from the dollar store). Total cost $2. And we don't have to carry the book around, risking damage or loss - we can just bring some blank cards with us each day, then fill up the book later.

There are other DISigners with autograph pages too. Check out the Just For Fun/DISigns forum.

There are several places where you can get fabric covered sketchbook/journals that have blank pages. If you get these and have a printer and iron-on paper, you can print whatever you like and iron it on the cover of the book.

We used photo mats for autographs, bought cheap frames, and DD helped decorate hers and DS', then added a pic of their choice.

It depends on how crafty you are or want to be. We surprised our girls (4 & 7 at the time). I took chipboard and made a book using white cardstock and book rings. I made a 6"x6" book for each child. I decorated the outside with their names Princess Taylor and Princess Jasmine and stickers. The character's signed one page and the opposite page was for the picture the child took with the character. It really worked out great. The girls love their personalized books.

I love your photo mats!! We did that once too:

We've also done a pillowcase*, but I haven't thought of anything creative for next time yet. Hoping to get inspiration from this thread!

* To do the pillowcase - Prewash before trip. Put a piece of cardboard inside the part they are to sign, and fold the rest around the back, so the marker doesn't bleed through. Set the autographs in the dryer before using or washing the pillowcase again.

I love the idea of 2 pics in one frame!

Read about using canvas hats and bags/backpacks too. Oh, and stuffed animals, but I would guess not the fuzzy plush ones.

I just bought my niece a small spiral unlined notebook, I also picked up some really neat 3D stickers of the princesses. I stuck the stickers every few pages to leave room for autographs and any pictures she may want to glue in there. I threaded some ribbon through the sprials to make it cuter and tied a sparkly pen onto the spiral with another piece of ribbon. With sparkly stickers I spelled out "Autographs" on the cover.

I never would have thought of the photo mat, cute idea.

I wonder ... I have one year old twins, a DD age 7 and DD age 3. I know both of the girls will want autograph books .... If I buy a mat would some of the same characters mind signing that too, I could say it was for the boys.

We are heading to WDW in a few weeks with my 2 1/2 year old. For a "special" autograph book I went to Meijer and purchased a 4x6 sketch book (around $3.99) and also found some scrapbook paper that was Disney and some Mickey stickers.

I covered the front cover with the paper (used REALLY strong double stick tape to hold it on) and stickers and my son went nuts. It is a book that is special made for him and it didn't cost that much to make (probably around $6.00). Plus, the sketch book pages are perforated so we can eventually take them out and I can put them in his scrapbook as a momento from our trip and he can use the other 100-odd pages to color on when we get home.

Good luck!
