Hi everyone and thanks for your help!!

I am a "non-crafty" mom looking for some easy ideas/suggestions on some neat autograph books for my DS5 & DS2 to take to WDW in April. I know there are several "premade" ones to choose from, but I was hoping to do something more original. Any suggestions/pictures of yours would be great!! The more economical the better.........

thanks so much!!

I made these for my kids - they work out great - the characters love seeing their pictures and knowing the kids names - I did it all on the computer

I went to Hobby Lobby and bought a pack of multicolor 6 x 6 cardstock. Then I used a hole punch and punched a hole in the corner and put a large metal hoop throught it ( I cannot for the life of me remember what they are called, but they are made for this kind of thing)

On the bottem of each page I either put a sticker or a clip art of different characters (Especially the ones that I knew that we would see -- at character breakfasts) and the characters signed the different pages. I had blank pages in the back for characters that we did not know that we would see.

My kids loved it and so did the characters. When we came home, I could match the pages with pictures in a scrapbook for each girl

Just a thought and pretty easy :goodvibes

It was easy and did not take anytime at all to make

I'm not very crafty either. Or that good with clipart and stuff. I just picked up any and all Disney related magazines or brochures and cut out pictures of the characters or attractions or whatever. Then I clued them to blank index cards. You can get a cheap photo album (a small one) at The Dollar Store and slide the decorated cards into the sleeves. When you find a character, just slide the card out for a signature. Not that creative but it works.

I bought index cards on a spiral binder at Wal Mart. We're going to use that to take with us to get the autographs then when we get home we'll put them into one of the small sized photo albums with the plastic sleeves that shows two pages at once when it's open. We'll put the card with the autograph on one page and a picture of the child with the character on the other so you're seeing them at the same time. I've been collecting Disney stickers from the dollar store to use to decorate our mousekeeping envelopes and the rest I'm going to give to the kids to decorate their albums once they're all put together. We'll also probably put a copy of each child's favorite picture on the front.

I am in the process of making two for our upcoming trip in December. I bought two 5 x 7 scrapbooks and a set of extenders. I also purchased a package of plain white 8-1/2 x 11 card stock. I am putting clip art pictures of a character and the name of the character in a font that I feel "suits" the character. The program I'm using (PhotoShop 20) has a postcard setting that I modified so that the design comes out twice on a page. When I have several designs done, I take them to work and use the paper cutter to cut them apart. Then I punch holes in the sides so they go in the scrapbooks. I will also take some blank pages with me and decorate them when I come back. The covers of the scrapbooks will be decorated with dates, names and stickers. I'm having a lot of fun doing this, and it helps pass the time until the trip by "doing Disney" things.

Ok I'm the most uncrafty mom out there. I just bought memory books from walmart in the scrapbook section that kinda look like steno books. Got some 3-D Disney Character Stickers, also at Walmart in the craft section, and my kids; dd 9, dd 7 & ds 5, decorated the front of their memory book with the stickers and wha-la we are done. Figure we will have the Characters sign at the bottom of the page and then when we get home glue the kids picture with the characters in the middle of the page....but maybe the characters signatures are too big? Looking at the book posted on here maybe I need to rethink that and have the characters sign one page and put the picture on the other? ummmm

Since I started 1 scrap book 10 months ago and got only half way through it, it never crossed my mind to make an autograph book! However, your ideas seem easy enough--

I think I'll give it a try!

I'm inspired... :flower:

We bought a 4x6 spiral notebook at Half Price Books. It has plain pages (no lines) and the cover is durable vinyl so it won't tear. We bought "alphabet" Disney stickers from Dollar Tree and wrote "Disney Vacation" across the front of the book. We kept the book in a quart size Ziploc bag opened to the next blank page so DS didn't have to fumble for the page when it was his turn with a character. Also kept the book nice and dry in the backpack. We bought some fat ballpoint pens with foam "grippers" for the characters to sign with - worked out great. Plenty of blank pages left for our trip next month. :)
