Autograph book and adding photos problem

Ok, DD10 bought an autograph book and FILLED it on our last vacation.

For the most part, they alternate one signature and one blank page, with the idea being that we'd paste in a photo of her hugging the character.

Great in theory, but now I'm realizing there may be some practical problems assembling the book.

The book has 49 signatures in it! I'm envisioning the thickness of a stack of 49 photos, and I can't imagine how they're going to FIT in the book without ripping out the binding!!!!!!!

Is the only solution to leave out some of the photos?? We also thought of dismantling the book, but sometimes there are signatures on both sides of a page. This wasn't supposed to be so complicted!

Has someone else done this project already? How did it go? What did you do? Please help us!!

are the photos digital that you will then print out and paste in? If so I would consider scanning the signatures and creating a digital scrapbook. There are plenty of good programs you could do it with. If they're not digital maybe you could scan both sigs and photos. I'm kind of partial to digital so I'm not really solving the solution if they're not digital.

what about buying a 4x6 photo album (or 2) and then cut out your autographs to just insert the corresponding photo on the opposite page. For the few times you might have an autograph on the same/opposite side of a page like you said, just make a copy of one of them so they can all be shown invididually. ALso, that might help if, for example, you had Chip sign on one page and Dale on another but your child is in a pic with both Chip AND Dale, you could put both their signatures on one page.
I'm a scrapbooker so the concept seems easy to me. If it's overwhelming to you, take it in steps. make an assembly line. First, figure out how many sigs you have and buy enough 4x6 albums to accomodate that number. Next, buy a bulk pack of colored paper/cardstock and trim the paper to a bunch of 4x6 sized pieces. Get out your autographs and cut the autographs out. Pick a photo and insert into a sleeve. Pick a colored 4x6 paper that coorinates (a red piece for Minnie, etc.), glue the autograph to the paper and insert opposite the photo.
If you're planning a return trip to WDW you could plan accordingly and bring 4x6 pieced or paper and a mini-clipboard with you, making it easier to add to your collection when you get more.
Good luck!

I agree that you might have to cut out the signatures and do something different.

Do you scrapbook at all? There are quite a few Disney Scrapbooks available that would work for this and some are on the smaller size, which would work for this project. Do you have any craft stores nearby (Michaels, AC Moore, Hobby Lobby)? They all carry Disney scrapbooks and when they are on sale or if you can bring a coupon, you could get a deal.

Here is an online site to check out....

If you want or need more help with this project should you decide to do something like this, the DisBoards actually has a Scrapbook board. :thumbsup2

What I did was to scan all the signatures and shrink them down. Then I split a 4 x 6 page with half signature and half photo with the character. I bought a 4 x 6 photo album at WDW (hard cover with a phot slot on front, expandable, and has photo sleeves). I then print out my pages and slide them in the book. Both kids have one and they love looking at their pics.
