Auto Train Discounts?

Do they ever occur? I would like to take the Auto train down next August for a 10/11 day vacation and I will need a car. I would like to use the autotrain, however I do not want to spend a good bulk of my vacation money just in transportation. If anyone has any advise out there I sure would appreciate it.

As a general rule, the earlier you book the cheaper the fare. The earlest you can book is 11 months out, so you should be able to book now for your trip next Aug. If you are an AAA member, you can get a small discount.
