Be mindful of your check-out/check-in times, particularly on one way rentals
I just returned a car today I rented at Orlando international. It was a one week one way rental that was dropped off in the Chicago area. The car was picked up at 10:45 am EST and returned 10:35am CST. And in big letters on the contract was an indication of a 12:00pm pick-up.
The charge? one week and one hour.
This has happened three times.
I believe because of my affiliation with a big corporation I got that extra hour removed.
So be careful if you change time zones!! And politely challenge.
