Auto Bank Debit for Dues - Question

I'm fairly new to DVC (UY=9/05). We have our DVC payment and dues payment automatically debited from our checking account on the 15th of the month. Since we had free Dues for 2005, our first dues payment was withdrawn in January. It showed on our bank account with a date of 1/17, which matches up with the 15th due date just fine. Well, today I looked at my bank account online and I see another dues withdrawal on 2/1! I haven't had a chance to call yet (I plan to do so) but I was wondering if anyone else with an auto debit has had anything similar happen.

You can choose the loan pmt debit as either the 15th or the 1st of the month, sounds like you chose the 15th. The dues are always debited on the 1st, except for January's. Jan dues amount is usually more than the rest and debited on the 15th. Feb-Dec debited on the 1st. I don't think you can change the dues debit date, but I'm not 100% sure about that. You could change your loan debit to match the dues debit though if you need them to be on the same date.

Thanks for the info. I guess I thought my date choice was for both. I'll keep things as they are and just adjust my budget for the dues debit.

Our dues are deducted on the 15th of every month and have been since we joined, almost 2 years ago.

I don't remember how it came to be that way.. if we requested it opposite of the loan payment, or the it just happened.

Our dues (every month) are deducted on the 15th. We don't have a loan payment with Disney so it's just dues -- for 2 DVC contracts, both deducted on the 15th each month. I know I did request it and it has been this way since we joined.

Our dues are also on the 15th and always have been... can't recall if we had a choice on that but if I did I probably would have chosen the 15th since rent (and now our mortgage) was always due on the first.

I had the same concern when I noticed my dues came out on the first, so I called Member accounting. Their explanation was that the dues come out on the first unless you ask to have it changed, our loan payment is on the 15th so I had them move the dues to the same date.

Right. I suspect that your dues withdrawal is being made on the 1st, but that your January withdrawal was made on the 15th as is the case every January (they don't do the first payment till mid-month).

I was wondering the same thing when I checked my bank balance online. I thought my dues were taken out on the 15 too. This was only the second month I've had the dues taken from our account. Guess I'll call and have it switched to the 15th.

I thought I too requested my dues to be taken out on the 15th. I noticed on my dues statement about them being taken out on the 1st. I called MS and asked them to switch it to the 15th and they did it within seconds - no problem.
