I wanted to thank the board for the cute shirt ideas. I was able to take one of the pics from board, add an extra little girl to match my lineup and got an online tshirt shop to embroider it on some shirts, very cute and very inexpensive only @ $8 a piece. We made them for our upcoming trip in several matching colors. Please excuse the wrinkles

Thanks again whoever posted it, I can't find the thread to thank you personally!

I looove Loove Loove this shirt.. My 10 year old son has Aspergers so this shirt really made my husband and I smile... and chuckle a bit.

Someone had posted this on this board in a word document and I was able to copy and paste the second little girl and then send it to the tshirt guy in an email. They turned out awesome. If anyone knows the thread to the original idea, please, put it here; so I can send them a thanks!

Did you digitize that design? I have a brother Innovis 7000D and love to do embroidery and would like find out the digitizer.

I'm not sure what that means, I have the picture on the computer which I can email you, but the tshirt shop put it in a format so it could be sewn, I assume their part is the "digital" part?

Hi; it was me that posted it; I'm so glad you liked it! I love your shirts; please be sure to tell us how your trip goes. The original disign was made by rumblytumbly of creative disigns fame, based on the design idea I had. I still have it as my screensaver on my phone, and people comment on it all the time LOL.

I hope I can explain, Nicole jump in please. I wondered if the shirt was embroidered? Even the people? If it was then the design had to be digitized, a format for the embroidery machine to read and sew.

I have a machine but not the digitized design. I also have the design and can photoshop it to flip a person and add the words but I don't digitize.

Great shirt!

Sincere thanks nicole, I love them very much!

On the digitalizing, I unfortunately do not. I just had the design from the board and emailed it to CSI tshirt shop, who formated it for embroidering and made the tshirts for me

That is a great shirt! We do itineraries for kids with autisim and some of our clients will LOVE this! Thanks for letting us know who did them, would lvoe to give them the business!

Hi April;
It looks like she took the jpg file into the shop and they used a digitizing software to reformat it and probably autodigitized from there. It came out really cute- I wonder if someone we know who's a wiz at digitizing might come up with something...

I've done business with them several times before; I've had them make tshirts for the girls at the clinic I work at. They have always done a good job, the shirts are very inexpensive, but a very nice quality and they have alot to choose from. I feel very comfortable recommending their services. you can find them online if you search for CSI shirts. FYI they ask that you order at least 12 shirts (some leeway in that, but you can get a mixture of different styles of shirts/sweatshirt, etc.) and if it is a new design they do not already have, they charge $30 to format the picture, but if anybody wants the actual picture that I used just pm me and I'll give you my name so you can reference the pic. and you should not have to pay for formating.

Love the design - but doesn't the embroidery backing drive a child with sensory issues up the wall? I know I used to have to be very careful buying embroidered items for both of my daughters - if it wasn't 100% lined my girls wouldn't wear it. The edges of the facing used on the embroidery (even if it was cut as close as possible to the design) would drive them crazy.

I think it depends on the kid, and the stabilizer used. My DD is very sensory defensive on that score, but I use a really soft stabilizer, and it doesn't bother her. There is even stabilizer that will dissolve when it comes in contact with water. That might be good for kids that are bothered by the scratchiness of the stabilizer. Another thing is to wear a cami underneath, that way it doesn't touch the skin directly.

As a mom with a DS 18 Aspie, I LOVE THIS SHIRT! :lovestruc

So true, they really do see the world from a different point of view.

Have fun on your trip!

Can you PM me her info? I'd love to have some shirts made before our trip. Can anyone recommend a good online source to have them manufactured?

The original design was made for me by rumbly tumbly, but I don't think she's disigning anymore. The company the OP took bought her shirts from converted the original jpeg to a digitized format for the embroidery machine. You could ask on the creative disigns board in the community forum for a similar design, they're very helpful. Most people then print them out on t-shirt transfers and iron them on. That's what I did two years ago before I learned how to sew and machine embroider.
