autism, stroller as wheelchair

Hi everyone! I am wondering about asking to use my stroller as a wheelchair as I have seen others mention. I am already going to request a GAC, but the idea of being able to use the stroller as a "shield" appeals to me and makes sense.
However, I am not even sure what rides, or when it was useful to others. I might be making this clear as mud, but what I am trying to say is that I do not even know where you could use your stroller... do the ques actually fit a stroller? They must I guess if they take wheelchairs, but still I am confused. Can anyone tell me their experiences, either here or by pm'ing me? Thanks!

My child has PPD-NOS, attachment disorder and sensory issues, if that helps anyone.

This link to the official WDW Mobility Information page has a list of "Mainstream Lines". These are the lines that are wheelchair accessible, so the stroller would fit in them without a problem. For attractions that don't have Mainstream Lines, you would be able to use whatever access route people using wheelchairs use to get in.

I was aware of the strollers during our wait for Kilamanjaro Safaris. The strollers and ECV's were in line with us until right near the end of the queue. That was the only line we really waited in, did fastpass for most others, and I don't remember seeing any strollers or ECV's. Sorry I can't be of more help.

For the Kilamajaro Safari, anyone using a stroller can keep their stroller until near the end of the queue. Right after the 'stroller drop-off', the regular line goes to the left and people using wheelchairs, ECVs or a stroller as a wheelchair are routed to the right to a different boarding area. That line can end up VERY backed up as they don't load as many 'handicapped cars' as they do 'regular' cars. You will have to wait in that line if you are keeping the stroller.

My DS (8) has a hip problem and standing or walking for long periods of time makes his legs hurt. We always take a stroller with us to Disney and I get a GAC so that I may use it as a wheel chair and it is always very helpful.
