I was reading this article and I thought it was hilarious. Apparently, Isabella Tanikumi, the author of her autobiography "Yearnings of the Heart", is claiming that Disney plagiarized her autobiography when they created the movie "Frozen". She claims they copied everything from the two sisters, to the handsome prince. The only thing she didn't say Disney copied was Olaf. I think it sounds ridiculous. What do you guys think? :rotfl:

Here's TMZ's article about it: http://www.tmz.com/2014/09/24/frozen-lawsuit-disney-animation-copyright-plagiarism-autobiography/

Of course everyone knows Disney 'bases' almost all their films on stories by long dead authors....Andersen/Brothers Grimm/Barrie/Perrault etc. :rotfl:

Clever way to boost the sales of her book.

I think someone needs to tell the Hans Andersen estate that Isabella Tanikumi plagiarized his story The Snow Queen for her autobiography. :lmao:

I'm not reading her book or believing her claim but I can easily believe Frozen bears closer resemblance to her work than HCA's The Snow Queen.

Always the best way to get attention and boost sales................sue or at least say your suing Disney, or say Disney did this or did that.

Disney is not perfect, but there are quite a few silly suits that fad away, we Never hear about again.

An autobiography. Really?

I wonder just who she claims had the ability to freeze things by touch in real life. Did she have the ability to freeze things by touch (or by will)? Could a sibling or anyone else she knows do that? Or how about getting love advice from trolls (or rocks)?

Ok, there are women who would accept a proposal from a man they just had met. Don't know if that's in her book, but even if it is, it's too small of a piece to be be plagiarism in and of itself.

On the other hand, if she finishes sandwiches that aren't hers, she's got this lawsuit in the bag. Not.

So who thinks the free publicity will bring in enough sales to offset her legal costs?

What a ridiculous frivolous suit. I hope Disney drives her legal costs way up to negate her publicity driven sales increase.

Beside, everyone knows that all Disney princess movies are the story of EVERY little girl's life.

Now as for Lady & Tramp, which was CLEARLY lifted from the story of how my wife and I met and married, right down to the Spaghetti dinner, did anyone catch the name of her lawyer?
