Aussie's on their way to Disneyland, a PTR

Well, woke up today and the countdown says 36 days to go.
DS is playing on the couch before he heads to creche, I can hear Buzz saying "To infinity and beyond".
He also found my photo's from my first trip way back in 2001 and he pointed at my photo of the partners statue and said "Look, there's Mickey and his dad" How cute
I check out the Disneyland website every day and show him things on there and he gets so excited, we also love checking out Youtube with people's video's of their ride experiences, although that will certainly not compare to the real thing

Heading out today for a spot of Xmas and birthday shopping, DS's B'day is 8 days before Xmas so we do need to be pretty organized, and seeing how we'll be away for most of November i'm going to need to be super organized :scared1:

He's really cute! I'm sure your DH will hold up just fine. lol What a fun trip you've got planned.

Well, at this time in 5 weeks we will be very nearly on our way to the airport, I am going to start putting bits and pieces into my suitcase so that the last week is not crazy, I know the time is going to go so fast from now.
Every time DS3 is really naughty I ask him if he really wants to go to Disneyland :rolleyes1 because i'll take his cousin if he's going to be really naughty
At this stage we still have a few things to book, transfers to and from LAX, character breakfasts, Disney passes and travel insurance.
We also need a dog sitter or we're going to have to kennel him, i'd rather have a sitter as he needs to be loved and not just left alone.
Also wondering if we should do Seaworld, we're doing Legoland, I just don't want to try and cram too much in IYKWIM.
5 weeks until our plane trip, it will certainly be interesting on a 14 hour flight with DS3, a whole different experience i'm sure :lmao:

I just found this report. Your family is so cute! I really hope that the plane flight goes smoothly for you. 14 hours is a long time! Do you have a lot of stuff planned to keep him busy? We took our son to Florida on a 5 1/2 hour flight when he was 21 months old and I had his bag stuffed full of things to keep him busy.

Your trip sounds wonderful! 3 weeks and all of the locations are great!

Well, what a week it's been, thank Goodness it's over and two more sleeps to go!!
Last week while I was at work my DH and rang me to tell me that DS was throwing up all over the place and had an extremely high temp (40 celsius), Saturday no real improvement, then Sunday off to the Dr with the development of a nasty sounding cough
Antibiotics prescribed, still high fevers until Wednesday when the fever finally broke and he broke out in a rash

Thankfully the rash only lasted about 36 hours, must have been the fever coming out but all week i've been thinking, what if he's sick on Sunday??? Would we still go???
Also I think as a side effect of the high fevers DS has been suffering nightmares  and has kindly informed me that he is scared of the big mouse
My first thought was "jeez, I hope we don't have rats" LOL and I asked him more about it and he said "no mum, the big mouse has a really big head and he was looking in my bedroom window" ::MickeyMo
I seem to have talked him around and he is now excited again after watching a travel special featuring Disneyland that we have now watched so much we know it back to front LOL
We're heading off on Sunday, flying first to Sydney then onto LA, i'm very excited but also worried how DS is going to cope even though we have so many things to occupy him.
Tomorrow i'm off to work all day so I hope I have I have everything organized and don't think of anything else that needs to be done.

Oh, I hope you have a really fabulous trip.

That rash looks terrible, glad he was able to get rid of it and hope everyone is healthy for your looooonnnnnnggggg flight!

Have a great time!

Bon voyage, I hope all goes well. I look forward to reading you trip report, we are going to all of your destinations plus, SF, Grand Canyon, NY and Orlando, woohoo. I hope the flight goes smoothly.:thumbsup2
