Aussie Disney Fans ~ Questions for You!

Hello Aussie Disney fans,

I have seen that there is an Aussie Disney trip planning thread, so I hope to garner a few of you to help me out.

DD and I will be in Sydney in August and are feeling confused and overwhelmed. Is there anyone from Sydney, or even New South Wales, who can asnwer questions for me about my trip?

My biggest questions are around these topics:
a hotel in the Sydney area
day trips from Sydney
clarifications on public transportation
reassurance!! (I feel very stressed about this)
