Aulani trash service

During our recent stay at Aulani on points, housekeeping did daily trash collection. If we were in the room at the time, they also asked if we needed anything else. I wonder if this is the norm there or if it is part of some COVID protocol?

It may be more of a security protocol. Disney instituted it after the incident in Las Vegas, well before the pandemic.

Yes, daily trash pickup with a quick security check is a standard anymore. Has been for several years.

Some housekeepers ask if you need anything; others won't.
