It depends. Weekdays from 6-9 a.m. it could take up to two hours. After 9 (or so) more like 30-45 minutes. Weekends are much easier, but then Pearl Harbor is much busier.

We booked on a Sunday purposely based upon advice regarding traffic and I believe that it took about 50 minutes max. After we then went to Honolulu for the day! :thumbsup2HAVE FUN!:cheer2:

It's not a long trip but traffic can be be an issue as mentioned in the previous post. I'd also suggest buying tickets online from the nps(couple bucks) that way you have a guaranteed ticket. They go pretty fast. You can easily make this a day trip as well and tour the Bowfin and Missouri. Parking was easy and free!

Remember also that there are no bags allowed in the memorial, and there is nowhere to check them. So, don't bring anything you would mind leaving in the trunk of the car. Try to travel as lightly as possible so you don't have to worry about it. You can bring a camera.

We went last summer. We purchased our tickets online before our trip. Our time was around 7:30 am. I think it opens around 7am. Traffic from Aulani wasn't too bad at that time during the week. It took us about 45-50 minutes to get there. There is a place to check bags, although I do not remember the cost. We did the audio tour and really liked it.

We booked our time for fairly early on a Sunday morning several months out (I think about 8:45 or so). I purposely booked a Sunday morning to avoid traffic - we were there much quicker than I thought we would be there - only about a 35 or 40 min. drive with no traffic. Note that you have to be there an hour before your designated time to pick up your tickes so allow for that when you pick your time and allow the drive time on top too (if you're a no-show that's where they get the tickets to sell to the public who show up without reservations). We also did the USS Missouri so we were there for several hours. We had been before tho so didn't feel the need to linger all day. After we were done we went on into Waikiki for lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe and a quick obligatory peek at Diamond Head. (I think the bag check mentioned above is only like $3 or something.)
