Hey there,

7 of us heading to Aulani in a few weeks in a 2 room ocean view suite.

-Any tips on the best area to request?
-Things not to miss
-Anyone tried Germaine's Luau?
Basically any Aulani advice you can pass along would be very much appreciated.

New to DVC and never been to Hawaii, so we're all very excited.
Thanks!!!

The maps on the Aulani Villas and View thread on the DVC Resort board show the locations of all the DVC villas at Aulani.

If you want to see the sunset from your balcony, I suggest you request a villa in the Ewa Phase 1 Building (villas xx50-xx68) or the Ewa Building Phase 3 Long Wing (villas xx70-xx86). If you want morning sun and afternoon shade, then the Waianae Building (xx02-xx12) is your choice.

All of these locations overlook Aulani's Waikolohe Valley, the home to Aulani's main pool and lazy river. It can be a bit noisy during the day with noise from the pool, but Aulani's villas have great soundproofing; once you close the balcony door you won't hear much in the villas.

Aulani is fairly compact and its easy to get from one spot to another without much effort. Thus, in my opinion, all Ocean View Villas offer equal access to the lobby, the pools, etc. The guest parking garage is closest to the Waianae Building, but even the villas furthest from the garage are no more than 5 minutes away.

I'm sure your family will have a great time at Aulani. I think its the best resort of the DVC resorts!
