Greetings! Anyone feel strongly about putting a room request in for a deluxe studio, pool view? Perhaps just highest floor possible to get away from noise? Is being on the 3rd floor an advantage, or not really? Is one building better than an other in your opinion? Thanks everyone! We are 40 days away and I need to get prepared here!!

You might check out wdrl's Aulani Villas & Views thread. There have been lots of posts of views and suggestions on what to book. wdrl has added maps and building layouts and links to the views for rooms that people have provided photos of their views.

Personally I would ask for a room facing the Waikolohe Valley--the main pool area and lazy river. We felt more connected to everything that was going on by facing the middle of the resort. And at night we could even hear the live music at the Oleo Room.

Thanks! I did manage to weed through a lot of that thread. What an amazing bunch of work! I think I saw your previous recommendation...and that makes a lot of sense! I have definitely decided too that I would like to be on floor 3 or higher. Thanks for your help :)

We were on the same floor as the lobby (3rd I believe) and I loved the location. We were only about 2 doors down from the lobby. At night DH and I would open the balcony door to listen to live music from the lounge. We were right above the character greeting spot and could see how long the line ups were. Loved it and didn't find it loud at all.

Excellent! Thank you! That sounds great!

We had a split stay and moved to a 1 bedroom up on the 14th or 15th floor and we much preferred the studio location. So close to everything.

That sounds like what we're doing. We're starting out in a Pool View Studio and then finishing in an Island Garden 1-Bedroom. I think I will request, for the studio, "high floor, close to lobby" or "high floor, Ewa phase 1"

I am going to try for the one-bedroom on "high floor, Ewa Phase 3" which will have us pointed "south", so if I can get our studio pointed north-west, that would give us a different direction to point at least! And I figure it will have us cozied into the valley as opposed to our one-bedroom that will have us hanging out over the rest of Oahu. That's my plan at this point anyway!

Someone tell me if I'm nuts!

I requested an inside room, because I wasn't sure if any of the outside facing rooms were considered pool view. The CM said they were all inside. I asked for highest floor possible and she said the 6th floor is the highest that the pool rooms go. Any higher and they are ocean view. So we'll see what I get in March! :thumbsup2
