Aulani sofa and bunk beds

Not sure if this has been discussed elsewhere but I wondered if the sofa beds and pull down bunks at Aulani are comfortable enough for adults to sleep there for an entire week. Our last stay at SSR, our adult age sons (DS 25 and DS 18) found the sofa beds very painful.

We're planning a family reunion for 12 persons (all adult age) and trying to find the best solutions for accommodations (1-3BR villa or 2-2BR units or ???).
