Aulani Room Suggestions!

Our next trip is going to be adults only, 5 (maybe 6) nights at Aulani. As we are west coasters, getting to HNL takes the same time as getting to MCO.
We are thinking a Studio instead of our usual 1BR as we are taking a shorter stay.

I am looking for Recommendations for rooms. I am tempted to splurge with an ocean view, but I know many people think the Island / Garden view rooms are just as good.
I won't be able to book for over 2 months, but I am thinking about it tonight.....

Really depends on preference/budget, but I personally like a pool/gardens view and request the ground floor. Those villas have patios with gates that open and go out right out by the pool. I request to be in the building near Ama Ama so its a short walk to refill coffee in the morning.
Shortest walk to get to the pool/beach/food and also no dealing with elevators.

No, you still have to have someone lock it from the inside. It's not a very far walk to have one adult go out the front and around.
I generally get up earlier than the rest of the family and grab coffee, sit on the patio or walk around the grounds, and maybe work a little. Worked well for that.
(In fact its really quiet by the adult pool in the mornings at 5am if you need to get work done on East coast time. That's the earliest coffee to be put out.)
