We are staying in a hotel room (not DVC) for our 1st visit and was hoping someone could answer these questions for me. Do the regular hotel rooms have a small fridge? Microwave or coffee maker?
Can the refillable mugs be filled anywhere? Is it just for soda or also for juice, milk, or iced tea?

Thanks!

That info differs from what is on the DVC member page:

Enjoy breathtaking ocean views and majestic beaches at this Resort celebrating the history and traditions of Hawai`i.
  • Standard view (includes either a view of the parking lot or parking garage from the room or balcony)
  • Sleeps up to 4
  • 2 queen-size beds
  • Coffee maker (pod style)
  • Tea Kettle
  • Small refrigerator
  • DVD player
  • Full bathroom

The member website mentions a small fridge and notes that the coffee maker is a pod style. That other link does not mention a fridge.

I think I would call member services and double check. If it IS a pod style, you can bet they cost and arm an leg to buy at the store on-site. Easier to bring your own.

The link does say in room electric beverage cooler which I think would be a fridge. lol
Just making sure we can buy milk to keep in the room for easy breakfasts.
Thanks!

Not sure why Disney seems to like the phrase "beverage cooler" rather than fridge. They call it the same thing on DCL. I have kept milk cold in the "beverage coolers" on DCL.

My link was for the hotel side, not the DVC side. I agree that any questions should probably be verified with Members Services for anything you deem important. I'm pretty sure the tea kettles are available on request, not standard.

Does anyone happen to know what pods to get for the coffee maker or what brand coffee maker? My DH is the coffee drinker & maybe he should just get the refillable mug for his coffee needs.

The information on the DVC site, is referring to DVC Aulani Hotel Rooms a newer category of rooms available when using your points to reserve a room. Regular Aulani hotels are set up differently as shown on the Aulani website.

We have stayed at Aulani twice and both times a tea kettle was standard in our studio DVC room. And the coffeemaker was the standard Mr. Coffee 12 cup. Even if a DVC hotel room does have a full size Mr. Coffee or a Tea kettle, I would expect you could request one for your DVC room.

Sorry I cannot answer what a regular Aulani hotel room has as an amenities. I would suggest calling the hotel direct and asking them.

Okay, I am confused a little bit. I thought the hotel rooms were all the same, but some were available to reserve using DVC points. I thought this was done because studio availabilty was hard to come by. Sorry if I confused everyone with my confusion.

Has anyone seen both "hotel" rooms? I know there is an Aluani CM that sometimes posts here. Maybe she can help. Otherwise, I would defintely call the resort.
