I just got an e-mail from my guide stating that the price for Aulani will increase to $135 (from $120) on December 6.

This is a form letter that was likely sent to all members in an attempt to get some people to add-on .

Looks like the problems with Aulani are fixed and now DVD will start the hard sell to move contracts. DVD sales have been down so Disney is putting the pressure on to pick up the pace.

I got the email today. Funny, I just got off the Dream and they were selling Aulani and AKV at $120 with up to $18 off pp on contracts of 220 or more and no talk of a price increase.

Gee, with the new annual dues increase and this price per point increase, people will be beating down the doors to buy them.

I just opened the email a little while ago too. Kind of funny getting the "we goofed big time" mail package just last week with the info about the dues change and the offer to reconvey back to them if not happy with the changes - and now today news of price increase #1.

I can't wait to visit the resort in 2012.

Maybe they are increasing the price to help pay for the dues subsidy?

That's what my DH thought. We were waiting for the whole fiasco to sort out to decide where to add on. We ended up just adding a small contract at our home resort rather than a larger contract at Aulani because of the member fee issue. They were offering equal point pricing incentives at both resorts. I wonder what will happen to the pricing incentives once the price per point goes up?
