Hi guys! I have an upcoming Aulani trip and a question about food at the pool. Can we make lunch in our room and bring it down to the pool, or do we have to order food from the pool restaurant only? Thanks!

We made a frozen pizza and brought it down poolside... No worries...

Not a problem at all - I ate my lunch out by the pool several times when I was there in May.

No issues at all. We always brought a cooler with snacks/drinks and saw lots of families doing the same.

Thanks guys! That is the answer I was hoping for. Have a great day!

Yep. Saw lots of others doing the same. I think the only issue would be glass bottles.

We rented a cabana one day and asked if we could buy our own beverages to keep them in the refridgerator provided. We were told that was no problem but not have actual glasses to drink out of. The beverages we bought to keep in the fridge were in glass bottles and that was fine because they were in the fridge.

We also rented a cabana for the day. So I guess we can bring our own juice boxes and adult beverages with us. I assume we can bring our lunch down too. Thanks for answering my questions.

We were there at the end of June and we brought snacks and drinks to our cabana every day. Our cabin attendant and server did not bat an eye. We did not have any glass containers. I don't think bring lunch should be a problem with or w/o a cabana. We used Starbuck's Venti (22 oz?) plastic thermal reusable cups for drinks. The ones that look just like their cold drink cups. If you get to a Hawaii Starbucks, they have Hawaiian versions that make a nice souvenir. They work great in the heat. There are other brands out there that seem to work just as well.

Absolutely! We did order a few things from the menu like non alcoholic drinks for the kids and fries, etc.

They also give you a small but very good fruit and dessert plate. It was a nice gesture and we enjoyed them both.
