Aulani/Oahu excursions

We are heading to Aulani for 10 days in March. (2 bedroom dedicated pool view) Right now plan to do surf lessons with firemen, Pearl Harbor, hike Diamond head, 1/2 day in Wakkiki. Any other advice, suggestions, recommendations?

Drive to the North Shore! Stop at the Dole Plantation, Haleiwa Town for shave ice, Turtle Beach, beach to watch surfers, shrimp trucks, etc.

Lots of threads on here with Aulani and Oahu advice.

Did you already reserve your Pearl Harbor tickets on the government website?
We loved the Polynesian Cultural Center too.

Any recommendations for shrimp trucks? Going to the North shore tomorrow. Was in Hale'iwa town on Thursday and ate at Giovanni's shrimp truck. It was ok, but I wouldn't make a point of eating there again.

Loved Giovanni's.....hated the flies. If you are going back to the same area, I've heard good things about the Grass Skirt Grill (not a truck though). It is in the busier part of that same stretch of road I think....we wanted to go there but couldn't find it. The day we were up there it was crazy.....a big storm was out at sea and the waves were superhigh, so tourists and non-tourists everywhere!!! Do a google search for menu and directions. Weird...sometimes I can find them on-line, sometimes I can't. Yelp and trip advisor has reviews. Glad you are enjoying the resort.
