I've read several reports that kids over 48" get kicked out.
Has anyone been there very recently?
I have DD10, DS4. so u can see how this will pose issues :(

also is Aunty's house geared twd younger kids, for kids club? She's about to turn 10y.
or any other things for pre-teens to do?
thanks so much.

I tried to go onto the structure to look around for a minute (I'm an adult, 5'4"). I was kicked off. Not sure if that was because I was an adult or the height restriction or both. I would be prepared for her to be kicked off.

My kids loved Aunty's Beach house the first time we went (7-8 year old range). They did not want to go when we recently went (10-11 year old range) and they are too young for the Painted Sky. There would be stuff for them to do at Aunty's Beach House (video games, etc.) but they felt it was for younger kids so didn't want to. In the end, they ended up swimming a lot (which they loved). We also did the family activities from the community centre (you need to get your name on the list early for some of them). The pre-teen age is tough one at Aulani.

My daughter loves the Menehune Bridge. We were there last month and she is over 50" inches now. She was never asked to leave. Also, there were kids taller than her there. I only saw the CM's asking adults to get off the structure.
When I was there last July, my 10yo niece was with us, and she was okay. She didn't do the slides there much though.

thank you both.
Ya i hope she can play a little bit, or at least not get kicked out every day.. since i have the 4yo, it sounds good for his age. Sigh, ya im finding that too, preteen is hard for activities.

I have read a few places that people felt like it was a way to get rowdy older kids off the structure if needed. As long as she doesn't stand out for running over smaller ones- I bet she will be just fine!

My kids were asked to leave. They're 1.35m (9y, 12y)
So yes there is a height restriction

Maybe if she's obviously playing appropriately (not rough) with her younger brother, it won't be an issue? Good luck! I'll be at Aulani next week (no kids) and will have a look at the play area to see how strictly they are enforcing the height rule.

Well, maybe my kids were asked to leave since they are both over the height. Maybe if one sibling is younger they will allow for the older sibling to stay.
