We have signed up for the member event at Aulani for this Monday morning 8-9. Worth attending, in your opinion?

Haven’t been during covid times, but this used to be one of our favourite things to do. We used to get real flower leis, a DVC baseball cap or something similar, and unlimited juice, coffee and pastries. There was some fun Disney trivia (with prizes) and of course the (soft) sales push at the end. I’d be curious to see how things have changed with covid.

I’ll report back tomorrow after the event!

I went last week… rep said it was their 2nd “show” since Covid.

I had no idea what to expect. They told me to bring a towel to sit on and a bottle of water… it was on the luau lawn. There were a limited number of chairs available. There was a top 10 things you must do on a vacation that usually had someone from the audience participating. Several characters also showed up to help out. These included Stitch, Chip & Dale, Daisy & Donald, and Moana. That was interspersed with the soft sale segments.

No refreshments, but we all got the bead necklaces/leis (can’t remember correct name).

I think my grandkids would’ve enjoyed it.

Is this a blue card only event?
Pretty sure it is. We went to the DVC model villa the day before to have a look and get a free gift, and had to produce our membership card. The CM seemed taken aback that we were white card hobos. We received a couple of lanyards and a machine operated selfie, but no invitation to anything. We watched the member event from our balcony the next morning.

Do you know if this is offered more than one day a week? We will be there in May and I think our family would enjoy it. Thank you!

It was only Mondays when we were there, not sure for plans for expansion…

Just to follow up on this, we were able to attend as white card members. We got an email about it and also a message in our room to sign up for it. When we signed up I think we had to show ID and maybe the new digital wallet thing. They know our status and were seeking us out so I would think it's open to all. They also said we would have to show the wallet thing when we checked in but all they asked for was our name and checked us on a paper list.

We went to member Morning today. Even though they asked us to bring a towel to sit on, there were plenty of chairs set up. They gave the DVC aulani hats to those that volunteered to be part of the show. Walking in, they gave us those nut leis and a Moana magnet. On our way out, they handed out DVC drawstring backpacks, with artwork and luggage tags inside. It was a nice surprise. I hope in the future they bring back the refreshments too!

We went last week and thought it was fun. We signed up to attend with a DVC rep by the pool the day before.

You get a kukui nut lei and magnet on the way in. There were plenty of chairs set up and you got to see a lot of characters in the show (no meet and greet, but see them on stage). I was picked to be in the show and was given a really nice Aulani DVC member hat for participating. Everyone got drawstring bags and luggage tags (one set per family) on the way out. No refreshments provided.

I think the whole thing took just under an hour.

I'd do it again if I had the morning free, but I wouldn't rearrange your schedule for it. We did enjoy it and thought it was cute.
