I’m having an Old Fashioned…. while I wait for the food to bring back up to the room.

Paul is the bartender, very nice older fellow whose DIL recently had a baby.

Pizza and popcorn for the kids dinner (along with salad and fruit purchased from the grocery store).

They are going to eat it back up in the room of course. Ulu was incredibly busy. Very happy to have a nice kitchen and dining table to go back to.

Villas are definitely the way to go here.

We’ll get them situated and head off for a date night.

Side Note: we couldn’t get a mobile order option to ever show up in our Aulani app.

Monkeypod for dinner.

We got there right at our reservation time, but still had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. Very busy and loud.

Mai Tai’s were very good.
My seared ahi steak meal was delicious.

My wife ordered the fish special (which came in a banana leaf), but it was undercooked and so they took it back, replaced it, and comped her entree.

I tipped on the entire check (adding back in the comped item) because it’s not the servers fault.

The water glasses were refilled quickly.

Made it to Olelo tonight!

They close at 10pm. We got there at just before 9pm and were seated right away.

My wife (who ended up taking the replacement meal from Monkeypod to go to eat tomorrow) ordered the Dragon Roll and I ordered the Pineapple Crumble.

We each had a cocktail and enjoyed the music and discussing our trip so far and what goofballs our kids are.

She ordered the Lychee en Voyage a I ordered The Old Koa Canoe. We were both happy with our selections. She even ordered another one to go.

The live music was very enjoyable, as always!

Full resort day. None of this driving or walking off property nonsense!

I’m this close to changing my plan of going to Aulani every other year to go every year. This close!

The flight from the east coast is the only thing stopping me… for now

Chair report: Most of the “prime spot” chairs (I.E. Shade with an umbrella or tree and a view) are still being taken pretty early. 7am or earlier.

Please keep that in mind if you read reports about “plenty of availability” when others go down mid-morning… those available chairs would only work for us as a cubby substitute since we would bake in them.

It's easy to break up the flight by visiting Disneyland for a couple days on the way.

I love a lazy river. My husband has never been in a lazy river at a pool, can you believe that?!

He won’t when you go to AUL as there are no rivers in HI it is a lazy stream

I used a wash cloth in the shower and it came off in the first shower.
