Aulani/Japanese Concert

For those of you at Aulani now, what were your thoughts on the Dreams Come True concert that just ended?

I only heard the first few songs from the beach. I am surprised the guests weren't notified there was a special event going on and half of the beach was blocked off.
I didn't care for the singing

We're at the Marriott down the beach, but got a room for a night (Tuesday night) in order to experience Aulani. We were also surprised that nothing was mentioned. We saw the Dreams Come True area in the lobby, and thought it was simply a big Japanese tour group. When we saw the stage being erected we found out what was really happening when we asked a CM. We could hear the concert all the way down here at the Marriott. It was fun.

We heard and saw that concert from our room. Seems like they don't let resort guests know when something is going on at Aulani that causes parts of the resort to be blocked off from resort guests. There was a Make A Wish fundraiser last night. Good cause, but I wish I knew in advance that the adult "quiet" pool and Infinity pool would both be inaccessible to resort guests all day.
