Aulani in January. Who's been?

How was the weather? Were you able to swim daily? Sightsee? Or was it too rainy?

I was there this past January. Weather was great; warm during the day, and pleasant (not cold) at night. We had one heavy rain storm one afternoon. Pool was great. Even wet and riding on the inner tubes on the lazy river, it wasn't cold. Rainbow Reef was COLD though. Did not get into the ocean or lagoon due to unexpected jelly fish swarm that closed Hanauma Bay. Disney did not close the lagoon, but I wasn't going to chance it.

We will be there January 5-6 and wondering how crowded it will be? I am thinking it will be dead since school is back in and vacation is over?! Has anyone been there then? Trying to decide if renting a cabana would be worth it or if the chairs will be wide open...
