What is the availability normally look like for Ocean View Studio at 7 month window? We plan to goto Aulani probably every 2-3 years and am now considering them as a potential home resort cause I've read studios book up first so is 11 month a big advantage to locking down that room type? Thanks in advance for for advice!

There are a lot of variables with time of year and so on, but we have had success for a two-week stay when we could be flexible with dates. But we needed to be right on top of it. On occasion we've had to waitlist a night or two but have always had success (three times so far). Knock on wood. Edited to add that these are summer stays (July/August).

I’d say Aulani ocean view studio should be fairly easy to get at 7 months generally speaking, may be a little tougher in the summer and Christmas but it’s the hotel room category and standard studios that can be a little harder at 7 months, especially the hotel rooms.

Ocean views are not only the most expensive studios but there are also a lot of them so they're generally quite easy to get at 7 months. You can get an idea of availability here https://www.dvcfieldguide.com/availability-tables. There are 104 ocean view studios compared to 18 standard view. As long as you don't want to travel at the busiest times of year (Christmas and June) you should have no problems at 7 months.

You should be find getting an ocean view studio. The standard view studios and hotel rooms are the accomodations that gets booked up during the home resort priority period. I've been able to book the others during the 6-7 month mark (we don't travel during the peak seasons).

If you are planning to go from Christmas eve - New Years Day, be ready to book it at 8am 7 month mark.
