Aulani here now...beyond amazed!

This resort is amazing! So impressed! I'm loving this place!

My son is 7 and I'm hoping he will continue to like it as he gets into the teen years. Do you have teens who love it also?

We visited Aulani last May to celebrate youngest DS graduation from high school! BOTH adult sons had a blast!
What's not to love? We were lucky to have PERFECT WEATHER!
Hoping to head back in a few years for youngest DS college graduation!

Not seeing many teens. Mostly younger children. Could be the time of year though. Lots of people here from other countries though but I have no idea what school breaks are like all over the world.

My teens (15 & 17) adored it and we have been to the islands many times so it wasnt just being in Hawaii. They have been raised going to Disney on a regular basis too tho, so perhaps they were just responding to that element.
I myself was pleasantly surprised at how much we all loved Aulani. We spent a few nights at the Marriott Ko Olina next door and although it is lovely, it just wasnt the same as Aulani-still trying to figure out why...

We took some morning walks along the beach path past Marriott Ko Olina..
Also ate two dinners at Chucks at the Marriott which we enjoyed! Grounds seemed very nice as well and well taken care of!

Ko Olina is the prettiest resort area of Oahu. We stayed at both Aulani and the Marriott. Loved them both. My son was 12 at the time and could have stayed in Aulani's lazy pool all day every day. Can't wait for our next trip.

There are a lot of people here. We do find at least one chair but it takes a while. We don't do slides so I don't know. I did hear there were lines. The sand toys and boogie boards were all gone by noon. We had no wait for paddle boarding. It's definitely crowded. I was surprised given the time of year. I'd hate to see what it's like during the summer!

Can you tell me if either of the gift shops sell it and do they offer it in s brass finish and a silver finish...or only a brass (that is all I have ever seen)?
If you are around the gift shops and can inquire, I would greatly appreciate it.

Yeah...it has been on the Disney Store website for a while now. I was curious if it came in the silver finish at all because I have only seen the brass on DS.com.
I guess one brass with my silver bangles will not be a bad thing...

You can also call them. My friend did that and they were able to give her details about shipments, etc.

I haven't shopped much except to buy POG and water.

My sister checked for you. Only brass, no silver ones here. You should call and see if they ever get silver ones and how often they get shipments in.

Lots of places (including Hawaii) are still on winter break this week, so that may account for the crowds. Hopefully it will lessen for your visit.
