Currently my fiance and I are booked at Aulani for a few nights as a honeymoon. I've since found that it would be far cheaper for us to do it on points but I am not sure if that is a good or bad idea... I've heard you do not get Mousekeeping but do you get towels? Are the rooms different? Are you treated different? I have never stayed DVC before so any info would be helpful! TIA!

DVC points stays do not get daily mousekeeping and that includes no new towels each day.

I am not familiar with the set up of Aulani in terms of cash rooms vs. points rooms so I can't help you there. At WDW, the villas at resorts that have a hotel side are different than the rooms.

Good luck and congratulations.

Other than the mousekeeping you are not treated differently. DVC studios will have a queen bed and a sleeper sofa in them as well as a kitchenette. It sounds like some of the hotel rooms have a similar set up but perhaps it's a king bed and a sleeper sofa and other's will have two beds. I have not heard that they will have the same sort of kitchenette set up with microwave and toaster etc. but am not positive on that.

Trash and towel day would occur on your 4th day if you were staying that long.

Thats fine with us - as long as I know I can hang the towels up and we certainly do not need the bed made everyday! The difference between a queen and king is small but thats still a little unfortunate that they do that; I would think they would want the luxury of a king for their DVC guests too! Would we need to still pay for parking and internet do you think?

Just guessing here, but I would think that if you switched to points that internet would be free. As that is the case with the DVC properties at WDW. And I would plan on paying for parking, but I would really like to know the answer to that one myself! :confused3

King sized beds are in all DVC 1 Bedroom units and larger - just not in the Studios.

Ah, I see... we would go studios I'm sure. It may be a honeymoon but the price difference between the two is almost double so it would be a hard sell!
