My brother-in-law is getting married in September and we are thinking of giving them points for a week at Aulani (assuming they'd want it and that it's available). How would Aulani be for a honeymoon? Too many kids to really feel like a honeymoon or are most resorts in Hawaii family resorts that will likely have kids? How tough is it to book Aulani in late September? We're thinking ocean view 1 bedroom so they'd have a king bed. Thanks in advance!

I would think September would be kind of quiet as school age kids would be back at school. We love Aulani and other than our June trip I've never thought it was overrun with kids. The resort is beautiful and relaxing.

We went to Aulani on our Honeymoon and absolutely loved it! We also enjoy visiting the Disney Parks so we may be a little more "used to it." I thought it was a perfect resort for a honeymoon, everything about it is beautiful and wonderful! I haven't stayed at other resorts in Hawaii which I am sure they are beautiful and nice as well but the theming at Aulani is top notch, not sure any other resort could beat it.

We went in March so I cannot speak to availability in September.

Good luck!

Doing 4 nights there for my honeymoon in October after getting married on the big island, so I'm hoping it will be good for adults. But as a previous poster said, I've been doing Disney Parks since birth, so I kind of know what to expect. Hoping October won't be too crazy!

What a fantastic gift! The first time we went we met a couple on their honeymoon. I agree that September should be quieter. We were there last July and although the main area was crazy, the adult pool and spa side always seemed calmer.

That is very generous of you! We were married on Oahu and stayed at Aulani but we did have my 17 yr old step son with us. We loved it! We did the spa which is amazing, go to Monkeypod for Happy Hour, Paradise Cove and of course the pool and beach!

We don't have kids and we love Aulani!! This last trip in Sept. there were really young kids but it was never a problem. In the evening you never saw them. And like Aclov said tell go to Happy Hour at Monkeypod!!
