Has anyone done the private portrait sessions at Aulani? I signed up for the $350 dollar shoot. What did you think of it. They don't have a website to view what they offer so I am worried about it. Is it worth the money or are the regular photographers good enough? I want some nice family beach shots. If you have done it would you please post some of your pictures? Thanks!

Did you contact Aulani to set this up? We are going in a couple of months and I am interested in doing this. I am also curious too how good the private shoot is.

Yes, I called Aulani and they transferred me to the department that handles it. Just tell them you want to set up a private photo shoot.

Love this idea... I have also read some reports of folks hiring local photographers with a groupon or other local coupon deals... but I would have concerns about quality, seems like a groupon would be more of a gamble.

We were there in March and just asked one of the Photopass photographers to take pictures of our family. She took some with her camera and some with ours. We were running late for dinner so only spent about 10 minutes or so with her, but got the sense she would have been happy to do more for us. She did several with our whole family and then some of each of our girls. I was very happy with what she did and it was free....well except for the photopass card, but I had already paid for that. FYI I ordered our photos from mpix.com which does an amazing job for prints. Good luck.
