Aulani Excursions

We are taking our first trip to Aulani in June, our kids have never been there before so they are excited.

I am signed up to receive the Living Social and Groupon deals for Honolulu. Today from Living Social was a firewords cruise or snorkeling with sea turtles (my daughter really is hoping to see a sea turtle. Cost $24 per person. Only good through June 19th though. Here is the link:

Groupon has a snokeling tour as well for $20 each good through June 20th. Here is the link for that:

Not sure if this will help anyone, but I thought I would put it out here anyway ust in case someone is interested.

Aloha everyone. I'm a local resident, and hopefully these links will help you decide on what attractions to visit.

Thanks!! Can't wait to check them all out. So very nice of you to take the time to compile the list, it is much appreciated! :thumbsup2

I notice that the Hawaii Fire surf school is $154 on Aulani Excursions, but if you go to Hawaii fire website, it's only $109 - I don't get why the price difference?

When you book directly with a tour company they can pass the savings on to you. When you book a tour with your concierge (aulani excursions, holo holo desk) the tour company will have to kick back 30% of what you pay to the concierge.

Everyones suggestions are wonderful. ANy thoughts if it is much easier to walk to the Ko Olina MArina for a snorkel tour. I see they are way more expensive then snorkelng from off Ala Moana or Fishermans wharf so wonder what is the big difference There is Ocean Joy which is in the Ent book but prices start at 139 pp and also KoOlina Ocean Adventures that starts at 119. I was hoping to pick one that does not have to travel so far even in the water becuz worried about the kids getting sea sick. That happened to us in Maui. We will have a car so don't mind driving.

Also there was a coupon for a day for KoOlina for 79 but is is long expired.

Will keep looking and post if I find any good ones.

worried about the kids getting sea sick.

Try sea bands! Not medicine and they work. :worship:
Do an on-line search to see what they are. You can order them on-line but Wal-Mart, Target, CVW, Walgreens all carry them

I have had a great time lurking on this thread and reading all of the suggestions. Thank you all so much. We are planning on an Aulani trip in February of 2013. What type of activities do you guys think would be fun for a mature 2 and a half year old?

Beach and water activities. 2.5 year olds are ambivalent to anything else that adults would appreciate like sightseeing, hiking, visiting pearl harbor, shopping etc... Beach, pool, and the nearby Wet and Wild water park. ;)

Yeah, that's what we were thinking. We have lots of experience with children, just haven't been to Hawaii yet. He actually does pretty well with sightseeing as long as there is something to see that he finds interesting. Sometimes that can just be a cow or something.

OMG!!! I'll NEVER be able to decide between them all! :rotfl: Thanks for SUCH a complete list!! I do have an Entertainment book, too- I picked one up last month when they were on sale. Thanks!:goodvibes

By the way- are you familiar with the bike path on the North shore? Is it flat or hilly? We are going to bike ride on Kauai- they have a really nice path along the shoreline on the coconut coast, and I was wondering if Oahu had anything like that. Thank-you!

!

podsnel - do you have the book? Does it look like you will use it much? I am trying to decide if I should get one since they are on sale.

I do have the book- looking at it, I think I will be using it, but not as much as when I first got it (I made different plans, which, of course, could still change!). There are coupons for some restaurants I will probably us in Kapolei- like Pho & Co and Just Tacos, and some shrimp coupons for out on the North Shore (Big Water, Blue Wave & Macky's). There is a very nice coupon for Ocean Joy cruises- $20 off per person, and Paradise Cove (25% off), but I don't think I'll be using them. There are a TON for Honolulu, but I don't know if we'll be going threre. I can leave the book for you when I leave, but there may be some coupons missing out of it you might like. Was there anything inparticular you were looking for? I'd be happy to look it up for you. What are your plans?

I appreciate the offer. I am considering buying it but not sure what I will use out of it.
We aren't doing a Luau and are doing the Starlit Hui instead.
We may use that $$ toward a helicopter ride. Not sure totally about that because of the cost. Are there any for helicoper tours?

I don't want to count on using the food coupons because I have no idea where we will end up. I have Roy's on my list but from what I hear I doubt they need the business to be in a coupon book. :lmao:

Other than that, surfing (which we already have booked :cool1:), lots of beach time, North Shore, Hanauma Bay, Pearl Harbor (already have reservations! :cool1:), strolling Waikiki beach area, maybe swap meet if I can't talk DH into it

Who did you book with for Pearl Harbor? Waikiki has tons of coupons- and no, Roy's is not in the book. North Shore Catamaran Charters is in there with BOGO adult, A-1 Helicopter tours has up to 8 rides at 50% off, but I just looked and their website also has big discounts (though not quite 50%). Poly Cultural Ctr is there with a BOGO, Air Ventures has 25% off (they are small planes), Bo adult Go child at Missouri mounument, and Ocean Joy cruises has $20 off each person (they are in KoOlina).

I posted it on here a week or so ago but now I can't find the thread. They just started it on like the 16th of this month.
Basically you are paying $1.50 per person for them to hold your spot on your select day. Worth it, I think!

WOW!!!!! Thanks!! I just tried it, but it said tickets were not on sale yet- how did you manage to get them if you are after me? Am I doing something wrong? :confused3

Actually, right now it's says it's selling them until May 26th- so I guess I just need to try later. :goodvibes

I bought mine the first day they were doing on-line reservatioins.
Keep trying. This atleast keeps us from having to get there early for the possibility of waiting :)

Notice you do have to get there an hour earlier then your time or they resell your passes

Bumping this one up- anyone have any recent excursion experiences to add?:goodvibes
