What is the difference between a hotel room and a studio? If I rent "points" vs buying is there any difference in my stay? Trying to make sure I get the best deal :)!

THANK YOU!

The Hotel Room category is a hotel room over in the hotel side of the resort. From the member website:
A small number of Villas were converted into additional Resort amenities as part of the expansion at Aulani. To supplement the inventory, Members will see a new room category reflected in the 2015 Aulani vacation points charts – "Hotel Room".

The hotel room will have two beds a fridge and micro. The studios typically have a king bed and a pull out couch with a kitchenette.
No real difference between buying or renting points.

You won't get daily housekeeping with renting points. You do if you book with Disney.

We have never stayed in a studio, but I thought they were a queen and a pullout?

Correct, studios have a queen and a sleeper sofa. The only exception I know of are those in OKW which have 2 queen beds.

Thanks! I knew it was a bed and a pullout...makes sense it would be a queen vs a king.
