Aulani Balcony

We are headed to Aulani for the first time later this year, we have 8 of us going, and are going to book a two bedroom villa either pool or OV. From looking at the photos, it looks like some rooms have straight balconies ( access from all three rooms ) and some have the angled ones ( the master bedroom then has its own balcony ). How can we find which rooms have what type of balcony. We prefer a straight one, but don't know how to determine, or even if one is available for the room type we are looking for! Any one know this info???

All of the floor plans I have seen only show straight balconies on the grand villas, these three bedroom units are on the ocean side end caps of the wings, with all other types of units having the angled balconies. We have not been there, so can't say for sure, but the all of the photos I have seen of the outside of the buildings also indicate only angled balconies for all units, except the three bedroom grand villas.

On the two bedroom villa plan, the master does have its own angled balcony with the other bedroom and the common area sharing the second angled balcony.

Can you ask for specific rooms? I always thought it was first come first serve when you check in. Even online check in says your request may not be honored.

They will accommodate requests when they can, but they are never guaranteed. This is true at all DVC resorts.

Asking for a general location gives you a better chance of getting your request than asking for a specific room.
