Aulani Availability Late Jan. 2012

There is a big sale on flights to Hawaii. However, I can't book Aulani yet for Jan. 25 when I want to go. Does anybody know what the availability is like then for a studio garden view? DVC won't tell me. Thanks a million!

I can't help you on the availability. But I would advise you not to book an nonrefundable air before you have your DVC reservation. We're in the same position for our trip in September 2012. We'll just have to wait until we have our room to book not only the air but an NCL cruise we want to combine with the land portion at Aulani.

Hi Carl,
We are in the same boat,we are going in January also. The little I was told from DVC was that it is a slow time of year and we should be fine. I hope so since our air is in place already since we booked with reward travel.Hang in there, our booking window opens in June.......good luck !!!!

When I first joined DVC in December 2009, I was able to book Grand Californian for January! I assumed because it was new, there weren't as many owners yet. I'm hoping for the same luck with Aulani.

Just remember that the only rooms available to DVC members are the equivilent sales in points to that point. Everything else in the resort is CRO until the points for those rooms are "put up for sale" (can't remember the term) or sold. They only allocate small portions at a time. {EditAdd} DECLARE is the word! LOL Rooms are not available as DVC inventory unless they have been a) Sold or b) declared into inventory. {EndEdit}

There will be a LOT of rooms at Aulani in Jan of '12 that won't even be available to DVC members... yet, IMHO.

Last week we booked our Winter Break trip at exactly 7 months, December 18-25, 2011. Christmas is supposed to be a busy time in Hawaii, but MS told me availability was wide open for my dates. We did book a dedicated 2-BR, so I don't know if that makes a difference for availability (less in demand??).
We also didn't book our airfare until we had DVC set in stone!
