Aulani availability 7 months

Thanks everyone. Seems like I should try for March...although it is the end of March and easter is right after, so I may end up disappointed and unable to book our trip Any other suggestions? Is Thanksgiving week just as bad? What about transferring points from someone that owns AUL and booking with theirs? And then renting mine out? Boy this sounds complicated.

The last week of March is spring break for most of Oregon, just to warn you. That is a peak travel time for the west coast. If it were me, I'd try for March, and if that didn't work, try again for June. In June you will have better luck after the point chart jumps up (late June), or in very early June, before the west coast schools are out.

Aulani availability isn't as ample as people will lead you to believe. We are Aulani owners and booked mid-June early on. Our plans ended up changing, and I had to rearrange rooms. Even though it was before the seven month window opened, there was almost nothing left. I had to waitlist to get what I needed and piecemeal my stay together, and that wasn't even for a high demand room (we were booking a two-bedroom island view). The standard view rooms were taken immediately at eleven months and the hotel rooms were taken prior to that by people walking reservations.

We are new BRV owners, I was hoping for a couple of days this last week of March as well at Aulani as we are FINALLY headed to Hawaii next year...we just didn't want to take our daughter during all the restrictions. We are wanting an Oceanview studio, I'm just going to make sure I am on and ready to go right at 8 am at 7 mo. All I can do is pray.

We recently got back from Aulani and had no issues getting a 2 bedroom Island Garden view at 7 months. We were there over Easter week too, which is one of the busier weeks of the year. You should be ok, just make sure to book exactly at 7 months out.

On a sidenote, someone suggested to request a high floor with a view of the luau. The request was granted and the view from the room was phenomenal! We had a pretty decent view of the ocean and the luau was fun to watch from the balcony.

Start walking at the 7 month window although it's probably tough to do so because of all the rooms being booked during the month of June. Otherwise best of luck at 8AM 7 months out

Dredging this back up since I've never actually booked during this time but how hard is it to get Aulani at 7 months during end of September? I'd hope it's relatively easy despite the lower point charts since the kids and college students should be back in school by that point

For late Sep at 7-months out, standard view and DVC hotel rooms will likely be unavailable; ocean view rooms available; pool view and island/garden view good chance to be open but some risk a desired day or so may be missing in one of them.

Thanks for the insight! We own at AUL but I'm trying to stay as much in the current UY and borrow less if possible so would prefer to use some AKL points on it even if it means paying for a higher tier of room. I was trying to go for 5 days in a 2BR I/G view but maybe 4 days in a ocean view might be better not only for the view but less time with in-laws

Not sure would work, but you could try booking two reservations one after the other. Then when 7 month opens for you AKL points, try booking with those and cancel the other.

I definitely thought about that but unfortunately I’d have to borrow some Aulani points to do it which would defeat the purpose

Was able to get a 2 bedroom OV at Aulani this morning from July first to July 6th. Was sooooo happy , because every other views were already booked for the fourth of July.
