We were in WDW in mid-August before the free dining began. We did lots of research online and checked all the menus ( my 22 yr. old daughter is picky) and made our choices based on what we like to eat and location.

Narcoosee's - the best meal we had. The food was amazing (Lobster and Surf and Turf) The service was first rate. We were able to have our coffee and dessert ( Almond crusted cheesecake is incredible) while watching Wishes. We were never rushed and had a great evening.

Wolfgang Puck Cafe - Really good food and service. We had the Spicy Chicken Penne and Macadamian Chicken. The Artichoke and 5 cheese dip was excellent and so was the Key Lime Pie. My only complaint with this restaurant was that is was quite noisy, but we would definitely go back.

Kona Cafe - we've been here before and it's still one of our favorites. We had the Filet Mignon and the Chicken in a sweet sauce....very good. The desserts are also incredible.

Boma - loved it. We enjoyed almost everything we tried and were lucky enough to try a few special treats courtesy of the chef!

Nine Dragons - this was our least favorite meal of all...we only went here because we got cancelled out of Teppanyaki. The food (Honey Sesame Chicken and Kug Boa Chicken) was not great and quite salty we thought. I wouldn't go back...

Gardenview Lounge at the Grand Floridian - This was our kick off to our vacation and we really enjoyed it. We each had a pot of tea, strawberries and cream and a pastry. We shared the finger sandwiches. It was really relaxing and put us in the Disney frame of mind. Just as a point of reference, we ordered ala carte and paid OOP and our bill was $40 without tip.

Wolfgang Puck Express- we went to the one at the Marketplace. We had the veggie Pizza and a warm BBQ Chicken Sandwhich. This meal was excellent for a CS meal. The food was so much better than the usual burger fare in the parks...definitely worth it!

Boardwalk Bakery - good CS food...we had the Turkey Panini and Chicken Caesar Salad, both were good, but the best was being able to chose any dessert you wanted.

Crystal Palace - character breakfast...still one of our favorites. We love the food and the fun with the characters. This is a must for us each trip.

Kringla Bakeri (Norway) - We loved the Waffles with Strawberries and the Cloudberry Horns. The Lefse was okay, but I think there are better choices.

The rest of our CS meals were at the CBR at the food court for either breakfast or lunch.
Our snacks were Dole Whip (of course!!), popcorn, Kaki Gori, muffins and bagels for breakfast at CBR.

We ate way too much and love every minute of it!!!

Mmmm, sounds yummy. I didn't know about the Gardenview Lounge at the GF. I might have to copy a few of your dining suggestions. I totally agree with you on Boma We plan on eating there again during our next trip. I've heard so many good things about Crystal Palace, I think we might just try that one too. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the reviews - I was disappointed that 9 Dragons would be closed during our trip next April but it doesn't sound like we will be missing much.
