We are planning a trip in August and are staying at the Contemporary. I'm looking for tips and tricks for traveling with a 15 month old and 9 year old. We have been to WDW many times but this is the first with the baby.

What were the things you wished you had brought along but didn't? What were the things you brought along but were not needed?

Has anyone ever...
Brought along their own high chair cover? Used rider swap passes?

Any tips or tricks are appreciated. Thanks!

I have been to disney world and land with young ones. We actually stayed at the contemporary when my youngest daughter was 15 months old. Have a stroller that is comfortable for the baby but the younger one can stand and ride or sit when they get tired. That is a big plus. You can usually go to the exits of rides and the staff will usually let the parents take turns riding. So the 9 year old benefits the most and usually gets to ride twice.

Never took a high chair cover. I do bring Clorox wipes to wipe it down. There are disposable placemats you can get as well.

We always bring our high chair cover, and a blanket to lay down on the floor in the hotel to play on...and lots of Clorox wipes:) in the summer we also make sure to bring the clip on stroller fan, we bought one on Amazon.

I never seemed to have enough snacks for the little one :)

Also, a fan for the stroller. It gets HOT and I hate seeing how sweaty they can get if they fall asleep in there.

And lots and lots of baby wipes.

We never took our own high chair cover or anything like it and they both survived :thumbsup2

And yes, use the rider swap. It's a huge time saver and our older one always enjoyed going on rides twice to make up for the slower pace ;)

Bring a couple of your little one's own sippy cups (or whatever he's used to). Everything is going to be different so that one little thing can help bring some calm to eating situations and might even save you a melt down!
