We arrived at HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS shortly after 9 a.m. We headed straight for TOY STORY MIDWAY MANIA to get our Fastpass. Our return time was 2:45 - 3:45. I couldn't believe it was already so late in the day!! Obviously, there were going to be a lot of people who wouldn't be able to get a Fastpass for that ride that day!
We headed over to STAR TOURS and rode with no wait. Next, we went to THE GREAT MOVIE RIDE and again, had a very short wait. After leaving this ride, we ran into some street performers who were very entertaining!! They were dressed in 50's attire and did some activities and involved the crowd. Super fun!
It was time for the first INDIANA JONES STUNT SHOW, so we headed in. It was a good show with a lot of action, but very hot in there. One thing that I would criticize is that the performers talk way too fast when they are explaining things. Very difficult to understand!
After the show we tried to get into MAMA MELROSE'S for lunch (it was about 12 noon). They were completely booked with reservations (bummer), but we didn't know what our schedule would be, so we hadn't made a reservation. Oh, well!! We walked down the street to a sandwich place that had counter service and outdoor seating. We shared a chicken Caesar wrap, shopped in a little shop close by, and then headed into LIGHTS, MOTOR, ACTION STUNT SHOW. It was very good....they even had an appearance by Lightning McQueen which the kids loved!!
Basically, we had been outdoors in the heat since we had left The Great Movie Ride and we were craving some air conditioning! We walked over to the ART OF ANIMATION and got out of the heat. The show was very cute!
It was finally time for our FastPass for Toy Story and we rode with no wait. The standby line was 120 minutes!! I love this ride! My friend beat my points by 20,000. I guess I was distracted by the fun!!
We decided to take a break back at the resort and would come back for the 10:30 performance of FANTASMIC!
We went to the pool upon returning to the resort and within 15 minutes, it started raining! We thought it might pass, but it just kept raining harder, so we went back to the room. We had supper in the Food Court (Tuna Salad Sandwiches) which was very good!
I think we were the only ones on the bus going to the Studios at 9:00!! FANTASMIC was great as usual! We got back to the room about midnight.
Tomorrow we'll relax and go miniature golfing!
