Hi.. My wife and I have been planning a trip to Disney for Christmas but she just found out she is pregnant! She is also a teacher so we are limited to mid August when they are offering the dining plan for free! This would make her about 4 months pregnant and I know August is hot!

Does anyone have any suggestions? Is this reasonable for her?

Thank you!

First of all- Congrats on the upcomming baby!
4 months along will be a great time. She will be past the morning sickness/so tired stage. Probably feeling alot more energetic. Not too pregnant to be large and uncomfortable.
Plan lots of breaks into the day, especially inside the AC breaks. Drink LOTS of water then drink some more. Very comfortable shoes and clothing. Feet will probably be a bit swollen at the end of the day. Have her put her feet up and give her a very much needed foot rub.
Have a wonderful time and enjoy!

Last trip to Disney I was 12 weeks and it was July. Of course our vacation was already booked when I found out I was pregnant. Still felt kinda yucky on the way down, morning sickness hadn't completely passed. I ended up having the best vacation. Took my time, enjoyed stopping to rest and putting up my feet. It was actually a very relaxing visit. I didn't feel the pressure to keep up with my kids and husband. I drank a lot of water, watched a lot of shows, stopped and rested when I needed it. (I also took a nap every day which was heavenly!) Congratulations!!! Go and have a wonderful time!

At least she will only be 4 months pregnant so it shouldn't be too bad. I have 2 kids DD 13 and DS 10. They were born in Aug and Sept so I went thru the summer being very pregnant. Not fun. I have also been to WDW in both August and July (not pregnant at the time). I would suggest going to the parks early in the a.m., go back to your hotel and rest or hang out at the pool during the really hot times like noon to 3, and then head back to the parks for the night. Drink lot's of water and have fun!

Thanks for the info! We normally go in June, but we hear August is worse. We believe she is pregnant (early store test) but the doctor wants to wait a few weeks. I want to schedule the trip now but wanted to check.

I guess we won't be running to catch busses this time though! :-)
