August hours

Do people think they will extend hours the last week of August (longer then historically) due to the ending of the 60th anniversary celebration?

Do we think the parks will be extremely crowded?

Getting excited for me trip, sorry if I'm asking tons of questions! New to DL planning!

It's hard to say what they'll do, but my guess is the hours will either be slightly shorter or similar to previous years.

I think the parks are just generally crowded. I would go expecting pretty good sized crowds at all times.

Shorter hours, wasn't expecting that answer! I'm expecting crowds and that's ok, I'm more conserned with parks opening earlier to be honest. Which is part of the reason I'm staying on site, just so I can get in earlier every day. 10am seems late to me.

They've been shortened some of the weekday hours by closing about an hour earlier than historic (e.g., closing at 11:00 pm instead of midnight on Fridays). For example, if June is any indication, DL was open from 8:00 am to midnight daily in 2015, but this year, they're opening from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm Sun to Fri and only Saturday is open until midnight. It looks like you're going the last week in August, when hours are already historically being ramped down from their summer-time highs, so it's hard to say how the budget-cuts (if they're still in effect) will impact hours. Maybe if things are busy enough, maybe they'll extend hours (I've been in the parks when that happened once, but, yikes!, it was very crowded that day).

I'm ok with short hours, looks like they have historically been 10-8, was hoping for I guess 9 or 8 opening.... But I'll make it work whatever it is... Waiting for the hours to be released I guess!

The hours in July this year are listed as being the "normal" summer hours 8am-midnight for DL, 8am-10pm for DCA. I don't know if these hours historically go down the last week of August but that would surprise me!

I'm seeing based on last year 9-8, or 9-9, 8-10. I'm there all weekdays no weekends. But I'm not sure if those hours included extra magic hour or not. On my phone and it's hard to tell right now.
