Hi guys, First time poster here. Last year during one of our trips I proposed to my Girlfriend in the Magic Kingdom and we'll be getting married in July of 2016. We both are huge Disney Fans and are looking to potentially return to Disney for at least a portion of our Honeymoon. We always stay at Port Orleans French Quarter and are looking to make this trip a little more special than the others we've been on. I'm curious as to what others have done to squeeze some extra Magic out of their Disney Honeymoons and what we could do as well.

Riverside is beautiful, especially if you Request Magnolia Bend - (and so is the price lol!). We just came home from there in October.

We're going to cruise Disney for the first time this August, and hopefully stay at WDW for one or two nights before sailing, but skip the parks this time and just enjoy the atmosphere and the resort. We JUST started planning, but right now we're thinking GF for the two nights, but if that doesn't work we're totally up for going back to POR! We loved it!! It's romantic and quiet and except for going to the pool, we rarely saw or heard any kids while at the resort lol.

We got married 08/13/2015. We arrived on 08/07 and stayed at Boardwalk since we were getting married at SeaBreeze Point. We then moved to Coronado Springs after the wedding. I LOVED this resort. Still felt very deluxe but with a much lower price tag. We stayed out last night at the Poly and the grounds there are stunning. We did a lovely resort shoot there and the pictures turned out very good. We booked some extra tours and dined with both Imagineers and Animal Experts to add special touches to our honeymoon. I also made sure to give us some open days and days were I just booked us some fastpasses in the afternoon and maybe a late lunch or dinner reservation so we could sleep in. We were there for a little over 3 weeks all told and really enjoyed it although it was HOT!!! Much hotter than I remember when my sister got married at Yacht Club on 08/09/2010.

Do an early morning before the park opens ADR in Magic Kingdom (we did Crystal Palace) so you can get empty park pictures, maybe even go back to the spot where you proposed! Also take advantage of late night EMH, we really loved walking around an almost empty World Showcase after Illuminations. Also watch all the fireworks you can! Our favorite spot is the bridge in New Fantasy Land.

Even if you're not staying at the Grand or the Poly go over and hang out at the resort. They're both really unique and beautiful and have a lot of great spots to just grab a snack to share and sit and relax! (At the grand on the second floor near the elevator there's two outside decks, the left one is for smoking but the right one isn't so we like to go sit out there and look out over the resort, monorail, and lake!). (That said, if you can afford the Grand go for it! IMO it's the most beautiful hotel on property and definitely much quieter than most other resorts).

Thanks for all the input guys. I''m really excited and we're narrowing down what we want to do.
